Cunningham's Courtyard in Kearney This Weekend

The Slangs are heading west once again this weekend to to one of the most unique outdoor venues we play and Cunningham's Courtyard is going to be the place to be. Not only is this venue among one of the coolest places we play, its "top notch" staff and great food added to this outdoor oasis is a must to attend. So, make some plans to head out to Kearney to catch The Slangs and enjoy some shrimp on the barbie!

Show Times: Friday 7-11, Saturday 8-12. See ya there!

A Weekend Of Ass-Kicking Modern Rock

The Slangs have a killer weekend lined up.

On Friday, the band will set up shop at one of Lincoln's best live music venues for a night of ass-kicking modern rock. Cappy's (Facebook Event) is the venue and it's going to be a great night. Partydogz.com will also be there to make the gala a feeding frenzy of fun. Lincoln fans need to make plans to attend this because it's out last show in Lincoln until September.

On Saturday, the band will make the trek to Winterset, IA for one of the best motorcycle rallies around, Hawgstock (Facebook Event). We played a two-nighter last year at Hawgstock and loved it. We were honored to be invited back for a second year.

It's gonna be a weekend of non-stop ass-kicking modern rock. Will you be attending or will you be cowering in the fetal position because you're scared of having fun?

It's About To Get Cah-Razy Up In Here!

The band has a crazy weekend ahead. Three shows in two days. That doesn't sound too crazy, does it? Well consider this schedule:

Friday, August 13
The band travels to The Arena in Omaha. Soundcheck at 8:00 pm then a full four-hour show shortly thereafter. After the show, pack up a limited amount of equipment and travel back to Lincoln.

Saturday, August 14
Arrive in downtown Lincoln around 3:30 pm and prepare for our two-hour set on the mainstage at the Capitol City Ribfest. The band will play from 4:30 - 6:30 pm. After we finish our set, we will have to hurry with tear down because a second night of ass-kicking modern rock is waiting for The Arena in Omaha.

We wish someone would hurry up and clone us.

The Slangs had a great time playing two shows this weekend. The Chrome Lounge in Omaha and The Corner Bar in Fremont are awesome venues!

This Friday, the band will return to Red 9 in Lincoln for a rocking good time at Red 9 / Lot 9 . The Slangs are ready to debut 6 new tunes to the night of ass kicking modern rock. On top of that, the $3 Jager bombs will be flowing like a river of tasteful bliss. So lets all tap that ATM and get it on!!!

The band has an exiting weekend ahead of us. Friday night, we will be returning to The Chrome Lounge in Omaha. We have fun playing there and always look forward to the killer atmosphere.

On Saturday, the band will make their debut at The Corner Bar in Fremont, NE.

No Coast Derby Girls Rule / Cappy's & Black Iron Grill This Weekend

The band had an awesome night on Saturday at Red 9 despite the high temperature and even higher humidity. The No Coast Derby Girls were a lot of fun and made the show extraordinary. This weekend, the band will be lighting it up (July 4th pun intended) at Cappy's in Lincoln on Friday then heading to Rock Port, MO for a show at the always wild and crazy Black Iron Grill.

The band is taking this weekend off before starting a run of shows that will take us from Broken Bow to Fullerton back to Lincoln then to Rock Port, MO, to Omaha and back to Lincoln again over the next month.

In other exciting Slangs news, the band has been invited back to play Lincoln's Ribfest on Saturday, August 14th from 4:30 - 6:30 pm. This is truly exciting for the band and we hope you will be able to join us.

The Slangs Have Your Fun Planned For This Weekend. All You Need To Do Is Show Up

This coming weekend, which happens to be Memorial Day weekend, is going to be a very special one for The Slangs.

On Friday, the band will return to Two Fine Irishmen in Omaha (Facebook event) for the first time in over a year. The last time the band played at this outstanding venue, it was packed to the rafters and we are looking forward to playing to another great crowd.

One Saturday, the band will be at one of our favorite Lincoln venues, Red 9. But it doesn't stop there. On Sunday, the band will also also be playing to help Red 9 open their Outdoor Summer Concert Series in "Lot 9"(Facebook Event). Sunday we will be rockin' from 6-10 pm and there will be a lot of drink specials.

It's gonna be a fun weekend for us and we are inviting to to partake is that fun. Don't be a fun-hater. Come hang out with us!

The band had a good weekend at Mary's Place. It was great to see some friends we haven't seen in a while and also make some new ones.

This Friday, The Slangs will make a return to The Grove and then on to Red 9 on Saturday. If it's a nice evening on Saturday, the band may be outside so be ready for some outdoor fun!

The Slangs are proud to be the chosen band to play for the Grand Opening of Bushwacker's new rock club called (duh!) Bushrocker's. Yep. This Friday, April 23rd, we will take the stage to usher in a new era of music venues in the Omaha/Ralston area.

Come see the Rock & Roll side of Bushwacker's.

On Saturday, the band will head down I-29 for a date with the Black Iron Grill in Rock Port, MO. Tierra and the crew are top notch and love to have a great time. Take a little road trip south and join The Slangs in a little Show-Me State rock & roll!

Cappy's & The Alley This Weekend

The band enjoyed another successful run at Gibb's Place in Beatrice this past weekend. It was nice to see some of our long-time friends and supporters.

The band returns to Lincoln this weekend for the first time in over a month when they rev things up at Cappy's on Friday and The Alley on Saturday after the Nebraska Red/White Spring Game.

Broken Bow & Fullerton On Consecutive Nights? It Doesn't Get Any Better Than That!

The band is ready to embark on a road trip that should prove to be both fun and a lot of fun.

Friday the band will head to the middle of Nebraska and a stop at Sylvester's in Broken Bow. There's no telling what might happen. Every visit to Sly's bring something new and unexpected. From a broken ankle to Fred hoping on stage for an impromptu version of "Knockin' on Heaven's Door", we never know what exciting or frightening shenanigans might unfold.

Saturday, the band will head east from Broken Bow and return to the scene of a crime that happened two weeks ago at Benchwarmer's in Fullerton. Calling ourselves the Dan Matthews Band for our unscheduled Saturday night show two weeks ago was an insult to a great man and he could probably sue us. We know he won't though and we are really looking forward to hanging with Dan & the whole Benchwarmer's crew. The band loves Fullerton and we are happy to rock the house any time!
